What we collect
Quantum Laser Lab collects only the information we need to provide laser and skincare services and to communicate with you: your name, contact details (email, phone, mailing address), health and skin-history information you share in consultation forms, treatment records, photos taken with your consent for treatment planning, and basic payment details handled by our payment processor (we do not store card numbers).
We collect this information directly from you — through our forms, phone calls, emails, and in-person visits — and, where applicable, from the healthcare professional who referred you. In keeping with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, for any health information we hold, the Health Information Act (HIA), we limit collection to what is reasonably necessary for the purposes we explain to you at the time.
How we use your information
We use your information to schedule and deliver your treatments, maintain your treatment history, communicate with you about appointments and aftercare, process payments, and respond to your questions. With your separate consent, we may also use before-and-after photos or testimonials in our marketing — you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your care.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (appointment booking, secure record storage, payment processing), and only as needed. Health information is kept confidential in accordance with the HIA and is disclosed only with your consent or as permitted or required by law.
Forms and email
When you submit a form on this website, request a consultation, or sign up for our newsletter, we use your details for the purpose stated on that form and to reply to you. If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails, every message includes an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to remove you by contacting the clinic.
Email and text communication is not fully secure, so we ask that you avoid sending detailed health information through unsecured channels — booking a consultation through our forms or by phone is the safest route for anything sensitive.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our pages, remember your preferences, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools may collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and approximate location (city level).
You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them won't prevent you from browsing the site. Where required, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies and advertising pixels.
Your rights
Under Alberta's PIPA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request access to it, ask for corrections to factual information, and withdraw consent for optional uses of your information (such as marketing). You may also ask how your information has been used and to whom it has been disclosed. For health information, the HIA provides similar rights of access and correction.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes set out in PIPA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at 1-888-871-5444 or www.oipc.ab.ca.
